BLOG WRITE UP

In my first week of production i started my magazine front cover and finished it: Here are the outcomes.

During my photoshoot to get the photos i wanted for my front cover i had to develope my photography skills very quickly, focusing on the eye level of my model , and where she was positioned on my screen (composition skills). I also learnt that when taking the photos because i had used butter fly lighting i needed to take the photos between the light and soft box, right in the middle of the two. However i couldnt really move much to get the shots i needed so i needed to communicate well and fairly effectively with my model so she knew where to look and how to pose etc. I also developed my photoshop skills as the beginning of the week i feel i lacked in confidence. I struggled to remeber how to create simple things like a skyline, but by the end i because much more confident being able to place my picture as the background, and add effects like drop shadow to my special price label.

During my photoshoot however i had to use my contingency plan as one of my models pulled out at the last minute and for some of my photos to work i needed at least three models and without one of them i only had the two. However i was happy wth te end results and the pictures i came out with

For my front cover the image i chose was of my model (lauren) looking over of her left shoulder loking into the camera. I chose this image because the image fits well with the theme and name of my magazine.Angelica. As my model looks very angelic and innocent.
