This was my first ever attempt at mkaing a front cover and using photoshopt too so unfortunately i ran out of time as i wasnt very confident with photoshop at this point. The photograph used for the front cover is a tilt down and taken from a height so it gives my model a sense of inferiority, this fits with the quote on the front and kind of works together to try and 'sell' my magazine to the target audience.

Apartures!- playing with depth of fields- photography skills
The aparture of the camera is the hole behid the shuter which lets light into the camera the smaller the appreaure number the bigger the hole the more light it lets in, so this is good for taking photos ith poor lighting.Using a thin depth of field allows us to see the background of the image which is fairly simple but doesnt allow it to overwhelm the flowers which are the focusing point within the image.
Taking the same phot with a much deeper depth of field. This means again we can still make out the background detail but some of it is much harder to make out so the focus is completely upon the flowers and almost completely drowns out the background.
In this case its a fairly medium depth of field thats been used as it pulls our focus to the object which in this case is a teddy but still allows us some detail of the background (a bed, so the detail is the bedding) kind of complimenting the image.
However this image again uses quite a harsh depth of field not only drawing our attention to the closet image but drawing our attention to the flame its self. The thick depth of field still allows us to make out their is another candle in the background creating a line shot yet doesnt make the image look to buy or take away focus from the red candle
