blog write up-3rd week-Final week

 This week i managed to completely finish my doubble page spread and i also created a sinlge page spread too.

This week was mainly pulling eveything together pasting my front cover into indesign, adding the final touches to my doubble page spread and ceating my single page spread.

However this week i also decided to change my header as i felt it left a large white area in the right hand corner so by extending it, i feel itfilled the space better and makes my doubble page spread look better.

I feel i continued to develope my skills in in design this week by adding tiny little details into my work to make it look that bit better. For example adding in italics, increasing the spcaing between my lettering to stretch my wheader out without actually stretching the text itself. I also had to use advanced text wrapping again, so my header didnt obstruct or afect my photostrips or kicker

I believe i kind of knew how i wanted my doubble and single page spread to look in my head so it was simply a case of getting that down on papper or indesign as it goes. So because of this i continued to keep changing the layout of it thoughtout the week untill i finally came up and created my final finished piece (as the last photo shows).

I feel this week i was well organised, actually through my production weeks i feel i have been quite organised as i met deadlines i was giving myself and finished early giving myself to change and add to my final pieces. This helped me alot as i ment i wasnt stressing or rushing my product to get it finished in time and meant i could plan, change and not stress about anything.

On my sinlge page spread for the photo snaps i put on i chose 4 photographs which when i put them together i believed told a story. I also purposely chose two images on pink backgrounds and two on black so they ciontrasted each other. The photographes on the pink background shows my model (lauren) at the start of the night ready to party, then being handed so alcohol she starts drinking it and getting tipsy, The showing the change in her due to the consumption of alchol. The the photographes with the black background carry the story on from there showing her quite drunk of the floor questioning herself getting quite depressed (because alchol is a depressant and vodka is the worst one for doing this) and finally the last photo where shes on the floor, drunk, not knowing where she is, tiered, alone, lonely and depressed. This to me tells the story of a typical night out for many people. However it also clearly demonstartes the effects of alcohol. I am very happy with my choice in photographs and the quality of them.

My favourite thing about the single page is proabably my colour scheeme breakout box and photo strip as i believe they look quite professional and to me meet the needs of my target audience well. I didnt really have any problems tis week apart from the link to a few of my photos being missing but this was easy anough to correct and re link them back up.

overall i believe i managaed my production time effectively and well as i actively managed my time and had an order of what i worked on and why. i Started with photoshop as it was the [programme i was least confident with and wanted to get it out of the way i also choose to do it first because the other two things i needed to creat were both in indesign so it made sense to get my front cover out of the way before focusing on my spreads.
